Has Apple explained why they didn't increase the size / display? Did they give any explanation why they chose the low road with a mild update versus a redesign? I was hoping this would have put them back in front of the competition. I'll bet the other companies are happy with the results of the "new" 4S. This makes leap frogging the new model even easier.
Don't get me wrong. I'm sure it's a nice piece, but personally, quite underwhelming with respect to extreme length of development. Apple is now playing playing catch up with the competition it once owned.
I know, some people love the design. However, I'll bet there are truly few here that didn't want a larger screen.
People may praise the faster chip, better camera and Sirius, but those things were a given to stay competitive. And that's the problem I have; Apple chose to stay competitive instead of taking back the top spot. Disappointing.
I understand some here will disagree with my comments. But, I was expecting Apple to crush the others instead of releasing a product that merely competes. I don't think this enhanced model will pull sales away from the larger screen devices. Not a chance if people actually pick up the two and compare on looks and feel. The 4S just doesn't bring anything new to ones senses.
Sorry to rant. Disappointed is all.
yes, I want it all.
