Apple plans release of lower $$ phone

They applied for patents on July 5. The phone is expected to be more like the nano with a jog wheel with a lot less capabilities. we shall see but for me its the iPhone all the way!

i hope they don't come out with a nano version. it would be a total waste of money

That is basically what they say it will be. Price point around $300.

Can't imagine they could release one with a touchscreen interface for $300.
