yes, that is what AT&T is doing but I don't think they will have many at all.this could be a good thing though, if they're gunna allow everyone to buy 2 then that may mean they have more iPhones at launch than they originally planned because normally with something like this all you here is LIMIT ONE PER CUSTOMER!

DOUBLE jk Its hard to say.Bingo! That's an excellent indication that Apple stores will have a big fat supply of phones.
I had intended to go an AT&T store now I'm going to switch to an Apple store because I need to get a phone for my wife too.
Anyone want to start estimating how many phones each store will get based on this new information?

If Apple is ampley stocked on iPhones, people surely wont want to buy them on eBay. It will be probably be more expensive for the person to do so because the seller will not want to make a personal loss. No one over seas with the right mind would buy one, because a) it wouldn't work, b) by the time it is released in Europe and Asia it will *fingers crossed* hopefully be 3G ready, so an Edge equipt phone would be worthless- AT&T don't even have a UK presense to my knowledge so Edge wouldn't exist? =/ Meh, who knowshttp://www.apple.com/iphone/pr/20070628iPhone.html

i like you greg haha because of the numbers in your name and because you just eliminated any doubt i had about getting one tomorrowMath time...
It has been around the each AT$T store would get 40 phones.
So 40 x 1800 = 72,000. If there are 3 million units at launch then that leaves 2,928,000 for the Apple Stores. 2,928,000/146 = 20,054 per Apple Store. If they hold back half for online that leaves 10027 per store.
So if you get to the Apple store and there are 10,000 people in line, you may still get one.
Hope you're right. Here in northern colorado there is only one ATT store. Nearest Apple stores are in Denver. I'm planning to go ATT, but having just one iPhone seller in the area has me somewhat concerned.40per att isn't true. that figure was the 1st # released about a month ago
they've released that on average 100-250 per att store with small town att stores having a minimum of 50![]()
