Hey I bought the Apple TV /tonight and am wondering what I need to do to get my ipad 2 to display all my apps and videos on my TV wirelessly? Is that function up and running yet with the betas?

Thanks. I only have the top half of what you have. I have the 2 choices of ipad or Air Play and I choose Air Play but I never get the mirrowing option.
Where is your Apple TV ? did you set it up yet ? You need to put the check on Apple TV and then Mirror button shows up.
I have the Apple TV box hooked up to my TV. It has the latest software update. NetFlix works on it. When I turn off Air Play on the Box the Air Play option disappears on my ipad and when I turn it back on it reappears on my ipad but the mirrowing option never appears when I check the box choosing Air Play it just closes the screen.
I went to try a video on my ipad and it started playing on the TV. But nothing else is showing up except for picture slideshows as I get the option for them. Are you jailbroken by chance?
To clarify, app mirroring requires both devices to be on iOS5 beta. Are they?
AirPlaying videos should work just fine with iOS 4.3.

Airplaying videos are working great! It's the "mirroring" that I can't get so that all the apps that aren't video work as well. So now I have to figure out how to get the ios 5 beta on the Apple TV?

you need to hook the Apple tv to iTunes with a cable and then restore the same way as you did with the beta for the ipad
