An app like this is indeed useful. I personally organize my daily budget involving petit chash by placing any money spent during the day in a notebook. I have found this old-school method the only quick way to put in what you spend and what you save at the end of the day.

I have been looking for an easy to use non-financial-balance-sheet-please tool and a small-scale-budget-management app would come great. I would definitely use such an app.
