I've discussed this prior in different threads but decided to make a thread dedicated to the topic.

Are you worried about "mass problems" with the iPhone? What i'm talking about is the iPhones are shipped, and a ton of people buy them then it's discovered that...... the speaker is crap, or the screen has glitches, or the batter is junk, the camera lens malfunctions, etc etc. It seems with the first version of anything new there is going to be problems, especially in electronics.
This is one of the reasons i'm waiting, so they can find and fix them before I purchase one. I know I won't be the first kid on my block with the new toy but I think I can wait a few months. I got the Razr and Blackjack within days of release and it was cool to have something everyone else wanted but then came battery and speaker problems, and the new "black razr" with video! Then the price drops, that will get ya every time. "Dang I paid $xxx.xx for this phone and it's half the price 3 months later!

So...my question & poll, are you worried?

Apple in my opinion is known for putting out great products that go through rigorous testing before hitting the market. I am sure there will be a few minor issues, but I have full confidence that the phone will be outstanding.

I am worried about all the jealous people who might be hating on the iPhone owners because of their great taste in mobile phone computing.

People who were not confident or capable enough to acquire an iPhone might get very mean and and complain a lot, and try to diminish what will certainly be an orgasmic phone dialing experience.

I will chuckle and feel sorry for them. All the Blackberry, Treo and Razr users out there. Then I will go back to using my iPhone and I will laugh, and laugh and laugh and laugh.

Yeah man i doubt even that can harm the iPhone, i mean think about it, if its as good as it really is then even the "haters" will grow onto it. happens to a lot of new products

You can count on Mac fanatics to dissect this thing obsessively, then overrun the Apple support forums speaking of a fatal flaw in the iPhone. It could be something as simple as an inaudible(to most) hiss in the speaker, when your standing in a hermetically sealed room. Some Apple users are notoriously anal about these things, and if you've been one for a while you come to expect it. I give it 1 day before reports surface online of some cataclysmic manufacturing defect, that in reality turns out to be nothing. Be careful b/c ignorance is bliss, and things you NEVER would have noticed otherwise will be brought to your attention...

I'm new to Apple products (just got my first imac about a month ago) so i'm not sure about their reliability. I'm just thinking about new phones in the past. I'm sure i'm worrying about nothing but am still going to wait at least a month to read some reviews.....

"Apple is known for putting out great products...?"

Apple in my opinion is known for putting out great products that go through rigorous testing before hitting the market. I am sure there will be a few minor issues, but I have full confidence that the phone will be outstanding.
I've been a Mac user since '84. I bought one of the first Newtons the day they came out. I've introduced Macs in major corporations. I support Apple about as much as anyone.

However, a few of years ago, I bought an Apple G4 Dual 1ghz (Mirror Drive Doors), also known as the "Wind Tunnel." It was the noisiest computer I've ever used.

Apple usually puts out great products, but I still regret buying the MDD Mac.

Caveat Emptor.
