AT&T/Apple pricing info?

I gave Apple/Att/whoever the benefit of the doubt, and thought that info would be released by today (monday of the release week).

Nothing.

Are they seriously going to wait till 600pm when the store is swamped with eager customers to release the info for pricing and plans? This will only add to further chaos and confusion and delays in the stores.

Customers are going to get their phone.....then they are going to be introduced to this plan and that plan and this new data plan requirement and that new package deal...and by the way you are already a customer so pay this instead and oh yeah...don't forget the contract, etc etc etc.

This will hold up lines and confuse people.

What are all your thoughts?

I expect (hope for) news on plan pricing within the next couple of days. I think it'd be a very poor decision to wait until Friday at 6:00pm to give people this information.

Maybe the plans will be let out either a. Thursday Night or b. between close at 4:30 and re-opening at 6:00

i was told by the ATT rep on thursday that they were not going to release that until Friday. I would expect something to be leaked out in the next day or so with the manager training days.

My store is saying they are not having any special manager training day tomorrow. I wonder if that is even true or if it just for the really retarded store managers...

I just talked to my local Apple store manager and he told me he knows nothing, didn't expect anything until Friday. He is a very nice guy, have talked to him numerous times about other things other than the iPhone. He stated he hoped to know something Friday morning but may not know anything until Friday at 6PM. He told me NO info on data plans has been released and basically anything you hear is just rumors unless they know more than he does as an Apple store manager. He stated that is just how Apple does things and doesn't expect this to be different. He also stated he had no idea how many his store would get and that he has not touched or seen one.

the numbers should have been out my now....no real need for waiting till the last minute...it simply just doesn't make sense.

Well, I think it's ridiculous to not release it prior. It's just going to make the process that much longer. But, in reality ATT could care less. The earlier they release it the longer people have to talk themselves out of getting the phone. That tells me it's going to be a pricey plan.

I cant wait to see tons of people buying their phone, and then all of a sudden being told this is the pricing plan, just for the iphone---and here is the data plan---and here are your choices---this is your contract---but you already have one, so hold on and let me check out the real price---blah blah blah....take it or leave it....while there are eager and irritable customers standing in line behind.
