I have the Alpine IDA X001 with the iPod/USB cable, and my iPhone works just fine with it in my STi.

Ahh sweet the IDA X001 Looks sweet, i have an older CDA 98XX (forgot model) And it doesn't have an Ipod cable option... (unless i don't know about it)

when i had a similar model in my S2000, i had a auxiliary adapter that hooked up to where the CD changer plug goes, and that gave me a MINI jack that i could plug something like a ipod in

If not, then ill sell my Alpine, and get a newer one.. lol
