I'm looking for an av cable thats compatable with the iPhone. On Apple's site they have none under the iPhone section but a few under the ipod section, anyone know if they'll work. Here's links to the 2 types.

the 30 pin port at bottom

headphone jack so idk if it'll work

any suggestions or recommendations grately appreciated, Thanks.

unlike the video ipod, the iPhone cannot do video out. not sure what else these cables would do for you then...
do you think there is any capability for video out in the future. Reason for asking is that the iPhone on the keynote apparently had video out of some sorts. It even showed where his finger touched.

at the beginning of that keynote, steve said they had a special board in that iPhone in order to demo it. to me, that indicated it was really a special prototype made specifically for demonstration purposes. they could add it in the future, but i think that might require a hardware change. and i think it really depends on the whole ipod line-up and their overall direction. if they add video capability to the nano line, i think they're more likely to add video out to the full range of ipod products (excluding the shuffle, of course), and potentially the iPhone. otherwise, video provides good differentiation between products and better "perceived value" for those who don't need a phone but need an ipod with video capability.
