Avoiding a bad sync?

Today I went to play songs in the 'iPod' part of the iPhone, and it's all cracked out. There are lots of songs that don't play at all, and many of them show album art that doesn't match the artist/title shown at the top of the screen. I'm assuming that I just had a bad sync somehow. Anyone else run into this or know what might have caused it?

I would try doing a reset first. If that doesn't fix the problem, then do a restore.

Reset the phone by holding the sleep and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo. I have never had that problem that you have.
