My iPhone was dropped off at FedEx for repair on Wednesday at 11:17 am. It was repaired and arrive back at my house via FedEx at 11:06 am on Friday. That is less than two day turn around. That is World Class service.

It took a swim in my washing machine. DOA at the Apple repair facility. I received a new or refurb. I'm guessing NEW because I can't find any scratches.

Are you sure it's YOUR iPhone? Do you have any way to recognize it? Did you know the serial number? My guess is that you have a brand new iPhone.

No it is not my original phone. Also, it is my understanding that Apple will be sending me a bill for replacing my phone.

What do you mean understanding Apple will send a bill? If you haven't paid for anything and they already send you a new phone, I don't think you have to worry about paying money.

I dropped my iPhone off at FEDX/Kinko's on Thursday at Noon EDT, and they had it and were running tests on it but 7:50am this morning. The are replacing it and I have a tracking number as of 5:30 PM this evening. It's shipping overnight, so I should have it tomorrow. Fastest turn around I have ever seen from a company. Kudos to Apple!

the turnaround time is good to here
but im curious to here about your experience will customer service and stuff about the battery issue, could you PM me about how that went because if i ever have trouble with my battery (which is my only concern) id like to know that i have a chance of it getting replaced instead of having to buy a new one

That's really great to hear.

As far as getting a bill from Apple....did you not pay anything for your replacement? It just makes me wonder if you will get hit with that $250 I keep hearing people say they have to pay for another one.

Is water damage covered under Apple plan. Or any plan for that matter (state farm)?

no, I didn't have to pay for my replacement. If they diagnosed it and found no problem, then I might have been responsible for paying for the dianosis. It's in the warranty fine print.
As far as water damage or any other "severe trauma" accidentally cause by user, I think that the warranty does not cover it- which is why it's a good idea to get insurance on the phone. That way, if something does happen and you get charged, you can get re-imbersed from your ins. company.
