Does iTunes handle backing up multiple iPhones one one PC? I don't want to setup multiple users for each phone. I want each phone to be separate including the music etc. My thought was to install iTunes in separate folders for each phone can that be done?

We have always backed up multiple devices iPhone , iPad iPod etc... on 1 pc ( macbook for the last few years) but we always do it with multiple user accounts on the computer. Never back up or synced multiple phones to one iTunes account and don't think i would want to, I want to keep my photos, contacts calendars separate.
I'm not sure that you can run more than one iTunes from a single user account. I have never even thought to try it. Its just as easy for me to have separate log ins
