Ok so my phone got wet, I dried it and now it works but with 2 issues. My phone won't turn off. I slide to turn off then it acts like it is shutting down but then restarts automatically.I'm not really worried about that but also my backlight comes on and off about every minute. And between that and probably ruining my battery from the water, I have significantly lost battery life. Any ideas if there is a way to stop the phone from lighting up every minute? Or what may be causing it?

The phone has gotten wet. There is your problem.. It has probably fried some internal chips and shorted the battery. Just not completely..

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Not sure how you dried it, but seal it in a rice bag for several days if you haven't already. If you still experience problems, take it to Apple. Their policy is $200 for a replacement, but they often replace them for free the first time.

Sell it or bite the bullet and take it to Apple to sort..... do not keep the iPhone in time more problems may present themselves... Water + Electronics don't mix!...
