Not to be a debbie downer. If you were just trying to shed a few quick pounds that you didn't mind gaining back later, I'd almost be on board. But your reasons for doing it are dubious at best IMHO.

Eat a burger.

It sounds like something that late-night scam artist Kevin Trudeau would recommend. I've never heard a doctor recommend anything like this. It's unnecessary and has no medically proven benefits.

Easier ways to change your eating habits than a juice fast. I could never do something that drastic. You can download a calorie counter app and keep track of what you are eating with the nutrition breakdown. It absolutely changed my eating habits.

Good for you, Chris. At least you tried. I would never have the balls.

But let's be honest now... that's a pretty crap way to go about it, huh?

Agreed. He's at a healthy weight. I'd say just cut back on the high fat foods for cardioprotection. There's no need to cut these foods out completely. A weekly cheat day is a good thing.
As another fellow RN I can agree with E here. Though a small fast may do some good in the short term being the catalyst to more weight loss and continued healthy eating. Chris
