best way to separate iCloud accounts

My wife, son and my brother share the same Apple id. I want that to stay the same, but how do I separate the iCloud accounts so we all do not share the same iCloud contacts, etc.....

thx, can I use any email in Settings>iCloud ? or does it have to be a me.com

i use my gmail account and it keeps telling me that my username and password is incorrect which is impossible. I don't wanna tie my ipod/ipad id because then everything will be shared.
