Chris, glad your doing well. Do you have central air / heat in the house? The A/C will help draw out moisture. I saw your using damprid, that stiff is the bomb!
I just got power back yesterday. No Internet or TV, but I'm making progress. What a sucky week. Living room took on water and I've got a tree down on my front lawn.
You must be in a better part of long island , we just got power back this afternoon...but luckily i was able to find a generator at costco (probably the last one on earth), and that thing is worth its weight in gold, 7,500 watts and it ran 2 refrigerators, a big flat screen, multiple lights, fans, radios, the washer/dryer and even an iron all at once...its my new favorite toy.

I had similar luck but with chainsaws. Guy at Home Depot was shocked that I found one, said they were all sold out. I think we might look at getting a generator sometime in the future.
Hoping for Internet and TV today. Part of the house is still pretty rank, despite my best efforts. We stay on the side that didn't take on water.
