Well I took my phone in to Apple for the second time..... The first time there was an echo when people called me and I had it on speakerphone. They replaced it no questions asked and I walked out of there with a brand new phone.

On monday, my speaker blew while I was listening to music.... so everything sounded like crap... sms alerts, incoming calls, everything.

So I called up Apple Care and they made me an app. to take it in, so I did the next day, yesterday...

They listened to it and agreed it ws blown and said theyu would have to send it in because I was three days past the "two weeks" theyu say they give for the replacement.

Well I don't really mind that they had to send it in, I just thought I'd get a new one... and they didn't charge me for the rental phone...
BUT
Those bastards gave me an 8 gig model and now I NEED ONE! haha

I guess that is their plan the whole time.

I don't really mind, just have to find something to ***** about

Are you saying that you had a 4GB and they loaned you an 8GB and now you're regretting the purchase of the 4GB?

That sure is what it sounds like. You have already gotten past the hard part of sucking it up and buying the phone in the first place. Wait until Apple comes out with a better phone.

My actual prediction is that when they come out with another model, they will bump down the 8g to $499. Apple has a habit of doing that with their products. When something new comes out, make what was the best a little bit cheaper.

Well here's my dilemma. I moved out of a family that got rich after I left, so instead of college, I got an iPhone, but only because my 13 year old sister got one too and I was waiting in line with her...

So anyway, I didn't buy this 4 gig. My girlfriend, (okay wife) is buying one on the 14th, so I'm talking her into upgrading and trading...

Do you think it would be better to just wait and have her buy another 4 gig I mean it's only 100 bucks

If she is already planning on buying an iPhone then I would say go for it. If it were just you in this situation and you wanted to upgrade then I wouldn't.

Of course, the hardest part is getting her to trade. :)
