Buying off eBay?

Did anyone here buy their Ipod off of ebay? Was it new or used? How much did you pay? I have a friend that is looking for one but does not have the money to buy a new one and is looking for a used one on ebay, do you think that you can find a good deal and not get ripped off?

I have not bought an Ipod off of ebay but I have gotten some accessories so I have ran into a few and they really seem to be the same prices as going to the store, so I would recommend going to get a new one at your local retailer.

I actually purchased my video ipod off of eBay and it was still in its packaging, and it was fairly priced so that was not too bad, better than buying it new at a regular retail shop, but I don't know about buying it used.

A bit of advice from me, if you are buying it used, do not do it. A friend of mine did purchase one because he could not afford the high price that the stores were pricing it for and he was better off buying it new.
