Hey Fred, check this link: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=4zly3jc

It's a picture of my usage stats. I have 4 hours usage, 2 days 10 hours standby and I have 50% left. I don't listen to music at all so no ipod use... I used 2 hours phone calls, 1 hour safari EDGE browsing and 1 hour frequent email checking, text and google maps. I can regularly get 7-8 hours usage with 3 days standby. I have the marvelous 7 series LCD :laugh2:

That is what they told me too.

I called back the next day and told them that restoring didn't help.
They sent me loaner free of charge which had much better battery life.
Then they sent my original phone right back, it had thr same battery life,
so called again and received a brand new phone with the 5 screen today.

Funny thing is that the Apple Care online status of my first return never changed from "Received" even after I got my original phone back. This time it
changed each step, and said this morning that it had been "Exchanged".

Keep calling Apple.

The battery blows, get use to it. The battery life varies so much from phone to phone it's a joke. Huge technical failure for Apple.

That image doesn't say much because these numbers do not reset until you fully charge the phone. If you top up with short charges, the numbers keep accumulating, which could make it look like a super battery.

tamakin didn't top off the battery with short charges because it doesn't say the phone has been plugged in since the last full charge.

When are people going to learn that these usage stats are WORTHLESS.

If I watch videos, movies for 4 hours = 4 hours of usage
If I listen to music for 4 hours = 4 hours of usage
If I surf on EDGE for 4 hours = 4 hours of usage
If I surf on WiFi for 4 hours = 4 hours of usage

You get the idea right? These and other activities take different amounts of battery life but they will just count as usage. It all depends on what TYPE OF USAGE you have and there is no accurate way to track that unless you measure it yourself.

yes but if he charged it, it would say " iPhone has been plugged in since last full charge" and it does not say that under his usage stats.

iLLGT2.. what silverado said about my stats is not true.. I did a full charge and never plugged it in after that... it would say under my stats "iPhone has been plugged in since last full charge".. do you see that under my stats? No. I got 6.5 hours usage, 3 days standby and my 20% remaining indicator popped up.

The last iPhone I had only got 4 hours usage and not even a day of standby and the 20% would pop up. I exchanged that one and the new one I have now gets 3 days standby 6-7 hours usage easily before the 20% pops up.

Sorry about that, you're right. I hadn't noticed that before and now I did.
