Can I download Mac OS X apps on iPhone?

I have a question.

Couldn't you download programs like AIM onto the phone as it is running Mac OSX?


The only possible reason that you couldn't would be the fact that they "optimized" the OS for the iPhone purposes, and it is no longer compatible.

Im sure you could download them yes. As for installing and running those programs thats a different story. There may be an AIM application because I believe cingular has a partnership with aol. But Apple has the final say (as of now) what goes into the iPhone.

Yeah, I guess that's right. We can only hope for some good programs... and hope that I will even get one at all. Any ideas to help me snag one of these things?
