try doing some reading up on the iPhone and its features. Getting your info now by asking questions on threads is good, but make sure you get the right answers. Not to be offensive or anything, but you would appreciate it more if you knew more about it. You will probably learn from these forums in time.

EDGE is like slow oldskool DSL. Wifi can be much much faster depending on what the internet access is behind it. It could be old DSL.

I'm part of that generation. I was on approximately cell phone #3 for me, when texting hit big, or was introduced.
