Can't copy email addresses

Can someone please tell me how to copy and past email addresses? The method to copy and paste other information does not work for these for some reason.

Tap on the bubble to view the email address, then press and hold on the email address. A copy option will appear above it.

I've tried that. The copy bubble doesn't appear.

Sorry that didn't work. It works for me on my iPhone 4. Hopefully someone else on here will have a better solution for you.

I use a 3GS on 4.2.1 and the copy option also works for me.
Any other strange issues going on with your phone? If you haven't powered it off in sometime, give that a try. That can fix the weirdest things sometimes.

It's not even a week old. The phone is perfect. Just for some reason when I select an email address in the email application I can't copy it.
