I deleted Rage HD ages ago, and every so often when I'm fiddling with iTunes it'll try to re-install itself. I have it paused on my springboard now, but the delete badge won't show when I set the icons wiggling. The delete badge does show on other icons that are fully installed. I've also not found a way to remove the app from my iTunes account permanently (which would be the ideal solution).

I just updated my iPhone 4 to 4.3.3 (JB'd with redsnow), and if this "delete in progress" function is supposed to work, I'd like to find out why it isn't before I just let the app finish and then delete it.

Thanks.

You might have to just let it finish and delete it. You could try signing out of your iTunes account on the phone, but I doubt that will help.

I have a similar issue on my desktop with a large, free GPS app (forget the name at the moment... US something) that I deleted ages ago and it still tries to download every huge update. It's no longer in my Mobile Applications folder, so I don't know how to kill it permanently. Not sure if these issues are related somehow.

I can usually delete them on the phone after a reboot. I once had one that was stuck in an infinite download loop in my downloads queue in iTunes on the computer. I called Apple and they transferred me to an an iTunes specialist that was able to remotely delete/remove it.
