Can't update to iOS 5 an internal error occurred

Yeah only 6, i got bored and decided to update the MBP at that same time- that says it's going to take 4 hours lol can't wait to do the iPad 
i too had the exact error as the original poster, except with my iPhone 4. i tried calling tech support, and it looks like their phone lines also are busy. i was not able to speak to an Apple employee after 5 tries. i did get an error code 3004 one one of my many attempts at upgrading..
don't feel so bad guys...I can't even get iTunes to update to 10.5, so until I figure that out, there won't be any io5 for me!

update: narrowed it down, its def something with my macbook causing the issue because i got the problem with another iPhone thats never been jailbroken
well now i have gotten to the sync iPhone part on my pc.. maybe this is the winner.. but will try again if not
