Well im done, I keep restarting the modem and the computer after every error message and I guess it was my turn to get through.IOS5 HERE I COME YAY!

Anyone know the API for the Apple Software Server? Perhaps I can emulate it myself (sort of like how TinyUmbrella would I guess) and provide an alternate verification server to send back the "OK" command, allowing devices everywhere to update.

I finally got it after i was stuck in recovery mode for about 10 minutes or so. I cant wait to see the new notifcation stuff in action. I forgot though, Siri is only a 4s feature.

Have downloaded ios5 but when i try to install i keep getting an error during the backing up of my data .. Seems to be error 37.. Asks me to continue but will lose all of my data .. Any thoughts?

ive been trying for over an hour... sometimes i get an instant internal error, and sometimes it starts restoring then later i get internal error. ive also gotten the update server couldnt be contacted a few times

the big question is there anyone with a 3Gs that was able to upgrade to iOs5?

I was able to update my iPhone 3Gs to iOS 5, but I am having problems with my 1st gen iPad. No error msg., just says "The iPad "xxxxxxxxxxxx" could not be restroed. An internal error occurred."

Well after the 5th try, my iPhone 4 finally has the Apple logo with the bar under it. So hopefully I'll have ios5 in a snap. However I tried to get my iPad going and now it is stuck in recovery mode? Kinda suckie. But I'll just keep trying once my phone is done.

Just got back from the Apple store and it took about 5 tries but 5.0 is now installed. Genius bar guy said the servers are getting hammered and the verification of the download is what keeps crashing. Keep trying over and over and it should eventually install. WOW! Just trying to sync my 1600 songs...ugh, what a PITA!

Probably tried 14-15 times since noon CDT. Error 3200 every time, but I kept plugging away and it looks like we're there! Its restoring my apps right now.
