Just compiling a single place where you can look for all the mods

Don't post here unless you wanna summarize the process... keep it neat so it's really easy to look through...

Battery color change

If you want it all blue you need to replace all of these:

in Directory: /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/

putfile /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/BatteryBG_5.png
putfile /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/BatteryBG_6.png
putfile /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/BatteryBG_7.png
putfile /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/BatteryBG_8.png
putfile /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/BatteryBG_9.png
putfile /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/BatteryBG_10.png

just one hint about iPhoneinterface forthose who hate typing all those root folders..... type the first "putfile" line in and press enter
it'll say that 1 file was transferred.. after that all you have to press is the right arrow on your keypad and it'll retype the line you just typed... then change the battery number and press enter.... makes the process a whole lot faster!


Example:
putfile /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/BatteryBG_15.png

(now press the right arrow a couple of times and you'll see that it retypes it automagically)

-->-->-->-->--> = "putfi"

changing sms balloon color

Actually its real easy, did it on a Win XP Box.
Connect through iPhoneinterface then navigate to:
iPhone://Applications/MobileSMS.app#
now the 2 files you want to replace are: Balloon_1.png and Balloon_2.png
so the command would be:
putfile /Applications/MobileSMS.app/Balloon_1.png
putfile /Applications/MobileSMS.app/Balloon_2.png

also balloon 2 is the msg receive balloon and balloon 1 is what you typed in balloon

To change the color of the smaller battery indicators

to change the mini icon battery indicator icon (in the upper right hand corner)

For the main menu page:

putfile /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/FSO_BatteryCharging.png

i have to say all of you who post tutorials and hacks on here are amazing, i downloaded iPhoneinterface and jailbreak and less than 2 hours my carrier logos changed, battery bar is blue, little battery is blue and slide bar blue! i love it - im not sure how to do the icons yet but some of you have and look amazing! this is addicting lol i want more

If you want to change the background that the bottom button lock slides on :

/System/Library/Frameworks/TelephonyUI.framework/bottombarbkgndlock.png

be aware that it just cuts whatever image you use in half and extends the pixels, so it doesn't look too visually stunning in the middle :)

How to change icons

Download any icon pack...

now this one is a little trickier because you have to have the original file in the phonedmg folder BUT ALL THE NAMES OF MOST OF THE ICONS ARE "icon.png"

So how do you get past this? You have to have 2 window open... one for the icon package and the phonedmg folder.... So you just have to keep in mind what icon you're installing and put the correct icon.png file in the phonedmg folder

So here are your iPhone folder areas
Calculator: putfile /Applications/Calculator.app/icon.png

maps: putfile /Applications/Maps.app/icon.png

Calendar: putfile /Applications/MobileCal.app/icon.png

Mail: putfile /Applications/MobileMail.app/icon.png

there was an original zip file with all the original picture files on here from rapidshare - i searched but couldnt find the file - anyone remember where they put it! lol
