I've been noticing all the cool avatars people have on this site. I'd like to create a custom one of my own but have never done one. I have about 8 or 10 still images I'd like to string together into a moving avatar. Could someone on the site lead me in the right direction for how to do this?

Thanks!

It is too big for an avatar. Both size and dimensions. However you can keep that picture for other uses. I tried making it smaller but it becomes distorted.

In order to make your own you need:
+PHOTOSHOP
+MULTIPLE IMAGES

What you do is:
Open each picture.
Put them each on their own layer.
Click the WINDOW TAB
SELECT ANIMATION
Choose make frames from slides.
Set your speed.
Select File SAVE FOR WEB.
Save as .gif
DONE! :)

Hey guys-
Sorry to be a pain, but can you remove the animated gifs from this thread and from any signatures. Animated avatars are still ok. It's just the size of the other ones could impact the performance of the server.

Thanks!
