What about the iPhoneringtonemaker that most of us already spent $15 on?
It doesn't work anymore. IFuntastic was free but is also out. I dished out a few bucks for music I really wanted. iTunes makes it very simple to chose the right passage of a tune. I'm not unhappy.

No ring tone workarounds yet, but some people are claiming to have never lost their illegitimate ones in the first place.

That's fine and all, but I don't like contributing money where it's not deserved.

I'm not buying a song that I already have........sorry.

If iPhoneringtonemaker doesn't solve this problem, then they better refund.

I created my ringtones using .m4r workaround, I have not updated iTunes but those ringtones do not work with 1.1.1 on the phone. They appear in the list but no sound is emitted.

I created my ringtones the same way as you did. My ringtones are still working with 1.1.1. My husbands' iPhone's ringtones are gone though. I created his ringtones the same way as mine did.

I agree...80% of my music is from cd's that I bought... I really wish Apple would make it to where any song in your library can be made to a ringtone, iTMS purchased or not... I don't mind paying $.99 for a ringtone, but I'm not paying additional $.99 to buy a song I already own just so I can pay another $.99 for a ringtone... very irritating. And damnit, I wish they would add college fight songs as ringtones! I'm a student at OU, and we're football crazy, and I hate not having "Boomer Sooner" as ringtone!

I hadn't done any updates since 1.01, and all of my ringtones are gone :(

I also purchased iPhoneringtonemaker and am wanting a refund if it isn't resolved rather quickly.
