Does anyone know of a way to just delete all the emails in the trash instead of deleting 1 at a time? I can't believe there is no option for this! I know you can change an option so that anything in the trash deletes after 1 day, 1 week or 1 month (or something like that), but how come there is no immediate delete option?

No there is no way. Why not just wait a day? Plus you may need to retreive something.
However there is an option to delete a message from the server. So when you delete it, im not 100% positive, but i think it does not even go into the trash.
