Limited or crippled....

Why so much promise and power but too much locked off.

Sorry I like my iPhone but it needs a few things to be added - BT support for file transfer (photos + music), BT support for stereo and GPS, file manager for ringtones and photos........ I could go on but

PS Came via Blackberry and Win Mobile so used of more functionality but the interface on iPhone knocks these devices for 6

I'm going with "POTENTIAL."

Great form factor. 8 GB of storage space. Stable OS. But it's just not quite there yet. It has all the POTENTIAL to be a truly great device, but there's still enough that it can't do, or that it doesn't do well enough for me to feel differently.

The amount of discussion revolving around elusive UPDATE tells me that many people feel the same way. I've said before that for the 5 things the iPhone doesn't do/does poorly, there are 20 other things it does better than anything else I've ever used. But for $600, I want it to be EVERYTHING I hoped for. It's not quite there yet, but the potential certainly is.

You came from a BB with no touch screen, no dedicated letter keypad (sure type, give me a break), a much smaller screen, a crappy web browser and a click wheel. Yet you call the iPhone, "Limited & Crippled"? Hmmm..M
