While there may not be an update for the iPhone yet, there are two reports to read, and you SHOULD update your iTunes and Quicktime.

Apple releases QuickTime 7.2 adding iPhone export

I checked for software updates tonight and saw the new Quicktime and iTunes 7.3.1.

FYI, that's lazy journalism. They're just repeating gossip and not checking sources.

Their source is ultimately the same Howard Forums rumor that was later retracted by AppleInsider.

100% rumors. They had me until they started talking about using the iPhone as a file browser. That's probably never going to happen from Apple -- I don't believe it's their style. If we ever get that option, it will be from a hack.

Also copying and pasting will probably never happen. I just don't see how you would be able to select the text to copy and paste.

Probably not, because iTunes lets you do this, already.

BTW, MacFixIt is reporting serious problems with the latest version of Quicktime and Intel Macs.

it wont work right, i press check for updates and it says 7.3.1 is avalible i press yes and it takes me to the page to download it and it makes me download all of iTunes all over again, when the update first came out it just started downloading quick time and a bunch of other stuff, but i had to cancel it at that time, now it wont do that.
