to see what iPhone features customers are praising and what issues they are bitching about? Or is he just too busy to?

If i was him, i would be browsing this site and all others during my free times instead of waiting for "management" reports as to user feedback

Steve probably does browse the fan sites for all Apple products. I would be willing to bet he has a log in, albeit under a fictitious name, for many of them. I also feel sure he is pleased over all with what he reads.

I'm sure he does, a lot of those CEO types especially ones like Jobs (who is known to be micro-manager obsessed) finds some interest in what people are saying, HOWEVER, don't let that make you think your opinion REALLY matters, cause its about the $$ and while, YES, if we are unhappy or happy it effects the sales to an extent, many people are casual techs who are not obsessed as we are about the little things and I would probably take a semi-educated guess (extra on the semi) that its something like 70% casual, normally more, but being as APPLE is very culty with its following that number probably is higher for APPLE products.

Steve might do so, but i doubt for businesss reasons, but just see how his product's doing. However, if you go to the Apple startpage ( http://ww.apple.com/startpage ) there will occasionally be a news article containing a cut from a review of the iPhone. These reviews range from MacWorld to ComputerWorld. So you know that someone over there in Cupertino is watching us.

You're kinda talking about the old-Apple, pre iPod and pre Intel. Apple relied heavily on their core consumers back then, it was very much a mutual relationship. Since the iPod, however, Apple is no longer a kitsch product with a niche consumer base, they've grown into a global corporation with a name brand thats so powerful it has literally replaced the term MP3 Player in the same way Bandaid replaced Bandage and Kleenex replaced Tissue.

Apple's got it's foot into the door of nearly every home throughout the industrialized world, and to capitalize on this it's lowered it's hardware price points and have partnered with the "McDonalds" of PC Chip makers, Intel.

The convergence is inevitable, iPods, iPhones, iMacs and Apple TV, they aren't pushing hardware anymore, they're pushing an iLifestyle.

Apple isn't the Apple you remember, cherish those days because they're gone forever, and if Steve Jobs has ever visited this forum, it's merely to see that his sheep are in order.

Baaaa!

You know, I wasn't looking forward to anything with that keynote speech at all. I'm not one for getting my hopes up, but gosh darn it you just had to go and mention an SDK... Now THAT would be freaking AWESOME...

So yeah, thanks for what may turn into the worst christmas ever, in a kinda-sorta-way lol.

Hey Steve! When you read this PM me, I'd like to talk about a little profit sharing! A one time deposit of a million dollars would be sweet!:p

I bet he does browse the Internet for user reviews , but the last thing on his mind is to gather all gripes and suggestions and then to quickly work up a fix LOL . Although we can hope for the best!
