Do you use your password lock for security purposes or do you think it's a nuisance? Your thoughts?
haha yes I do, there's no way iam letting other people use my phone without me knowing, also that fingerprint idea... Do you think that could be possible since this is a touch screen and all, a fingerprint unlocking would be amazing.I definitely use mine. It's a little bit of a nuisance, but I think Apple did it well. Now if it could just ready my thumbprint that would be nice.![]()
I don't use mine, since it's kind of a PITA. What I'd really like is an app that I could put sensitive data into (account numbers, passwords, etc.), that would encrypt the data and then only open with a password. That way, I could use my iPhone without the keylock for my everyday stuff - looking up calendar, phone calls, etc., yet still feel secure if my iPhone were lost or stolen, since my sensitive data would be encrypted.
Has anyone every used eWallet from the smartphone/pocket pc world? That's an app that I sorely miss. It's a lot easier to have, say, my 9 year old's social security number on my PDA when I have to fill out some school form. But right now, even with the keylock, I would never put sensitive data on the iPhone.
