Does the Places app only tag pictures on the camera roll?

Hello,

I really love the "Places" app on the iPhone whre all my pictures get automatically sorted to where the picture was taken. Unfortunately, I transferred some of my holiday pictures to my laptop and the pictures were removed from from the camera roll. Is there any possible way to transfer the picture that I transferred to my laptop back to my camera roll? This is just so I can get the picture back on the "Places" tab. The pictures were originally taken by my iPhone. Or are there any other alternatives?

You can sort them into other albums, import them and still have them show in places. Just use iTunes.
