I was just wondering why my iPhone 5 Status has been "Preparing for Shipment" for 2 days now
When it is supposed to be delivered on the 21st
It will say that until it actually dispatches.
When your order does dispatch, you will be notified with an email, it will include the carrier and the tracking information as well.
But if my order states "Delivers 21/09" is that guaranteed?

Correct, there is not RAM on the iPhone.
That is the size of the memory you have.
Random Access Memory (RAM) provides space for your computer to read and write data to be accessed by the CPU (central processing unit). When people refer to a computer's memory, they usually mean its RAM.
The iPhone is not the same.
It's not like a computer.
It offers flash storage like an iPod does.
So you have the 16, 32 and 64G. You also get the iCloud of 5GB free storage as well, and you can purchase more from iCloud if you would like.
confirmation that the iPhone 5 has 1GB of ram based on the part numbers listed on the A6 chip itself. After some investigation with Kyle Wiens from iFixit, we've been able to confirm their findings as well, using Samsung's own product guides.

These are not Samsung products.
The iPhone is near enough made out of entirely Samsung Parts.
The Memory used in the iPhone 5 is Samsung memory
The iPhone 5 has 1GB of RAM.

So I spend £600 on an iPhone and I'm not allowed to know how much RAM it has?
That is the information available, when you choose the 16 G model, that will leave you with approximately 14G of space for other content.
The iOS takes up about 2GB of space.
RAM is what gives the phone its speed.
not the Flash Storage space.
The Chip does give the phone its speed as well as the storage space and the amount of content you have on that iPhone.
I think when you receive your iPhone you should visit a local Apple Store Genius Bar, or you can Also ring AppleCare.
