EDGE is not working for me in Northern California (San Francisco).

The thing i don't understand is why isn't the WiFi kicking in if EDGE is down?

Why aren't you on wifi to start w/ if that is an option...i.e. if you were on wifi how would you even know that edge is down?

As a matter of fact he said it's network wide...so much for a "new ATT"

GREAT PHONE........CRAPPY NETWORK as predicted.

It appears to be down in Portland, OR also. I was starting to think something was wrong with my phone! Hard to impress people at work when the internet doesn't work :p

EDGE not working in Albuquerque, NM. Still having SMS receiving issues for both myself and my brother (Apple store employee). ATT customer service has long wait times - got disconnected after 20 mins of hold and another hour on hold with no resolution so far. Poor signal at my house - even outdoors.

Both of us are ready to return if we don't see improvement. LOVE the Phone, the service has been a joke.

What's the best way to complain directly to Apple? I'm not happy with who they decided to get into bed with...

Anybody have any luck filing a complaint directly with Apple?

I know it wont cause any sort of direct resolution, but I'm curious about getting our voices heard. We just gave Apple $600 of our cash, I'm worried that I'm looking at the next two years...

LOL! Too funny!

Are you guys doing a COLD reboot? Hold down the top button and "Home" button for 6 seconds. Then turn back on. The Mac symbol will pop up. I had the Edge disconnect also and was waiting for it to come back for 2 hrs. As soon as I did the COLD reboot, Edge started working again.
