GAH! Spoke with a rep for 30 minutes. She says I had great coverage in the area I was at, the towers seemed up and working, she was going through some different systems and such and then she puts me on hold. 10 seconds later - line goes dead. CURSES! She seemed to indicate that it may "simply may be that the edge is not that good in your area." Lovely.
Might be my area having issues other than the outage originally being discussed, unless there's interest - I'll hold off on posting every detail here unless I get another tidbit that might be useful to everyone not just me.
