Will my Bellsouth email service work on the iPhone as normal? Or should I create a Yahoo account? What will be the delay on receiving/sending emails from both? My Bellsouth account is a POP3!

Please Help!

It depends on how often you set the mail client on the iPhone to poll for new mail. 1 minutes would be nice, but it looks like from some of the demo videos you have to check a box that has a set time. Like 10 minutes, 15 minutes, etc. No place to set it to 1 minute.

If you set up a .forward and send all you bellsouth email to yahoo, you will get it right way using Yahoo!'s push email... which is not free. Looks like Yahoo! converts your mail to SMS which is not free.

Even if you pay the extra $5 a month to increase your SMS from 200 a month to unlimited, unlimited is only to and from other AT&T users, and I am not sure if Yahoo! is considered an AT&T user, but AT&T's previous name was SBC Yahoo! so maybe they are...

Receiving e-mails doesn't count against your text messages, does it?

Bah! I just found out today that Hotmail doesn't support POP3 or IMAP....unless you pay an annual fee. Oh well...i guess i have to send out one of those annoying emails to everyone.

hotmail sucks donkey parts! the only purpose for that crappy email service is for junk mail. like if you have to register for a website and give them your email account. get a gmail account. everything about google reminds me of Apple. they are innovative...always offering something better than the competition. yes they make too much $$ but they of all search engine co's deserve it.

i have a gmail account (recently) to send big files back and forth (like iTunes songs ;))...i'm going to have gmail forward all emails onto yahoo and have my yahoo account 'push' on to my iPhone.
