And now your back under a different username. Please, just use Apple's forums. I'm growing tired of handing out bans.
wow, just curious (and you might not want to divulge) but how can you tell its the same guy re-posting? i was wondering what was preventing him from picking a new screen name and to keep going.

ahaxton.... now hax. Same signature. Just joined and railing against Apple.

Discenting opinions are one thing (look around and you'll see we don't remove or ban people for having an opinion one way or the other), but hell this is an iPhone community. Signing up and just railing against Apple really is just a form of trolling. Now, given the events of the past few days, it's understandable that people will join the fray in what is a very passionate topic. When a member starts discussing the pirating of software, then they put this forum at risk. I've said it a million times, I want EIP to be a friendly and knowledgeable place for iPhone discussion. The rules are in place to keep focused on attaining that goal.

ok, so a reporter from houston posted on everythingiPhone today asking for angry Apple fans. since i lived in houston, i emailed with the guy but didn't really want to be on camera (you'll see why in the video). he went out and did a piece about the "iSlap in the face" before Jobs made his announcement today.

here's the link...

BTW, it is the #1 unofficial iPhone site.

Surprising, really. Next to the discussions part of Apple's website, this is probably the most active iPhone forum. If it wasn't for the occasional trolling, I would think that Apple should have some connection with this site.

Congratz Chris on the great site!

I was listening to a nationally broadcast radio show this morning, and I know the two host own iPhones and talk about them from time to time, I was trying to call into the show to ask if they had heard the latest news, but couldn't ever get through! My master plan though was to plug the site within' my call...oh well.

Should'a, could'a, would'a....:p

I just watched that guy's piece. I can see why you didn't want to actually be associated with it. I don't understand why local media has to be so lame all the time. Its bad enough that national news media is what it is. Why did he have to give a thumbs down and blow a rasberry at the rebate? As far as I can tell, most people are pretty psyched about it. Why not focus on that?

But it was funny when the other anchors made fun of him. I experienced that 3 times that day. Twice at work: One co-worker, one IT guy; and once at school where the guy was telling me that his 8525 was just as cool.
