I get to a certain point and then the call gets disconnected. Great service there. Almost makes me think this was a big mistake. I am 17 hours into the activation process and can't use the phone yet....

I am the same. 18 hours now... Really p*ssed. Waiting for an email to say the activation has happened. No one in the call centre can help me.

A million other people are calling them too, I doubt their call centers can handle it. Just be patient.

Yeah I was actually hung up on twice. I called from a land line, heard someone pick up, then click.

15 hours here and going.

Someone mentioned getting a new SIM card. I am not sure this is a good idea though.

Just talked to the AT&T store that I bought my phone from. They are blaming the issue on Apple and saying that it could be up to 48 hours before the activation completes now. I am this close to taking this thing back and returning to my Treo 750.

Classy. Especially when it's clear that iTunes is accessing an AT&T backend for activation.

Everything about the AT&T aspect of the launch is mediocre at best.

I recently redialed the number at the bottom of one of my emails (877 800-3701). The message said to call it if I'd like to make other arrangements, so I did.

I got one representative to escalate the activation. He said they would send an email or call if they needed information.

I called back 2 hours later and the rep checked my account and said the issue had been escalated and that it would take 24 to 48 hours to resolve! Some escalation!

I demanded to speak with the supervisor and she was totally useless.

I've half a mind to return this and start over.

Coming up on 20 hours.
