Facebook notification sounds

Since the new download I get no notification sounds from my Facebook on my iPhone 4. Not happy. How do I fix this?

I never get any on my iPhone 5 never have it sucks just a pop up is all u get

I think it is Facebook itself. Recent update(s) to the app have created this problem.

Also noticed 90% of the time I check my messages in the app it crashes

This has been an issue since about August or September. I'm really surprised Facebook hasn't addressed it yet.

I'm almost to the point where I use Facebook in safari more then the app

Honestly I have had to several apps like CNN which no longer make sounds with their notifications. I think it's an Apple problem/the app developers because several of my apps don't have sound that used to and I am really mad that up the problem has not been addressed by anyone.
