MacBook Pro File can't be deleted! Help! New user.

Hey forum! I recently made the switch from Windows to Mac. A whole new world, and a much faster and neater interface too.
Anyway here's my problem, I can't seem to delete a ppt file which I downloaded from my school system on the internet. There is a screenshot which I attached together with this post.


The file is BESIDE the Cognitive folder.

Please help! I know I'm posting a minor problem, but I tried searching for this and I can't find any solutions!

Close PowerPoint before trying to delete it. If it still won't delete, right click on the file and go to 'Get Info'. If the file is locked, unlock it and then try to delete it.

Thanks Europa! It seems that file went away by itself when I restarted my laptop. Yeah, bout the wallpaper, I wish to go San Fran someday.. It's tiring to live in Singapore all the time..
