Someone else suggested this and today I tried it...

After leaving my iPhone on the wall charger all night I checked this morning and found the plug in the battery icon and a green battery. However the "green" battery was not full to the end (small sliver as reported by others was still silver). So, as someone else suggested I...

1. Took it off the wall charger.
2. Unlocked phone.
3. Checked email.
4. Checked usage.
5. Plugged into laptop.
6. Noticed it was charging.

"BINGO", finally a FULL GREEN GLOWING BATTERY!

Thanks for the suggestion, it worked!

I think the only reason this worked was because you unplugged it turned it on and plugged it back in. I don't think you need to do a specific task like checking your email or somethig but i noticed i only get the usage reset and the fully charged symbol if i pull it off the charger for a second.

I also finally got one last night. Previously I had been charging it only in the wall charger or with my car charger, last night I plugged it into my computer via USB and charged it there from about half battery life - after about 4 hours it finally filled the whole battery for the first time and went all green.

True. I just wanted to mention everything I did along the way to acquire a full charge.

I have tried this over the past 7 days and it works every time. Unplug from wall charger and replug the phone into the desktop charger hooked up to laptop and bingo glowing battery fills completely and plug is also in small white battery. When I unlock phone the usage meter is reset to zero.

You just have to unplug it and plug it back in, no big thing...No desktop needed.
