I deleted all the system files on the iPhone today in an experiment.

and as expected, the phone shows the Apple at the boot, then goes to please connect to iTunes,

iTunes detected the phone and i was on my way to restoring the phone.

Therefore, its my belief that Apple made this fun almost impossible to brick, and improper modding should never cause any more of a problem then having to restore.

After further talk with iPhone techincal support, they confirmed that bricking the phone is near impossible due to the extensive restore option Apple provided us.

hope that relieves some of the stress for some of you mod skeptics out there.

 I'm glad you were able to restore. Although I won't be deleting my directories, it's still good to know that you can always restore.
