GPRS settings for orange

I can connect to the internet using wifi and am unable to connect via orange ( i goto edge:

· APN address (Contract): orangewap
· Username: Orange
· Password: Multimedia

but am unable to connect to web, weather etc.

Also what are the yahoo mail settings as i went to OTHER, entered host name: pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk, my user id for yahoo and password and got message: username or pasword for "pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk" is incorrect.

You need to use:

APN: orangeinternet
Username: user
Password: pass

Then you'll be fine.

happy beginner

I am having the same problem with my orange on my iPhone.

I will try you suggestion, but I don't know where I find my EDGE setting in my iPhone.

Still No luck

Found it thanks!

The problem is that even with the settings you suggested, I still don't get my EDGE to work.

iPhone not connect to internet with orange

Hi

My name Saqi and I am writing from Glasgow. I am orange mobile phone use and I bought iPhone.

iPhone working fine when I am using wifi, however it does not work with orange free data that I get.

I tried the following setting

APN: orangeinternet
Username: user
Password: pass

Still not working, can some one advise me on this issue please.
Sofeware version that I have on the phone is – 2.0.1 (5B108)

I have the same problem but with a new 3G iPhone rather than edge, with the newest software version. Any ideas? I am in the UK on orange. Thanks!

Hi Guys n Gals,

I have an iPhone already and and have an orange contract phone,
I have just changed the settings for the internet and it works great. Thanks to you who posted them.

What I want to know before I go mad and use my internet, is will it cost me?

My contract is not with the new iPhone/orange deal that has just been released. Its an orange contract for the HTC started in June, and my iPhone is an older one, the 3G.

As you get bundled free internet with the new iPhone/orange deal, Im worried it may just add all the internet I use on my older iPhone 3G to my bill. Which as we all know can be very expensive.

Can anyone help?

Should I disconnect the internet settings and wait until I can get my contract shifted over to the new iPhone and orange tariffs?

Or carry on using it?

For months Ive been carrying around 2 telephones, one with my orange contract sim in the HTC, and one with my o2 payand go sim the iPhone, with free internet.

I want it all to be on my iPhone. Ditch the HTC :)

Any help is much appreciated.

iPhone no service

hi, i have the same problem, it doesn't give me the option to add orangeinternet, mine goes :- settings, general, network, then gives me the option to enable 3G. cellular data and data roamong? i've been on to orange and they took me through a resetting process but still no joy. any more ideas?
