GPS app that shows trails?

Was wondering if anyone knew about an iPhone app that leaves a trail of where youve traveled. The snowmobile season is coming up and it would be handy to have.

Basically this is the scenario id use it in.

Heading through trails and fields, get lost don't know which way is home. Fire up the app, and it shows a trail of exactly where ive been, so i can just follow it out.

does this exist? or even just an app to mark a spot on a map, or multiple spots?

I use mapmyhike and motion x gps. Both really good and not bad on battery drain. With mapmyhike u can view your saved routes an data online.

Can you download maps in mapmyhike for offline usage? You can in motionx, but I'm not a fan of that app. I love mapmyhike, tried the free version, anyone have the full?

Yeah I do have a full version of mapmyhike, and i just love it, although I hardly use it, but to tell you it works perfectly well. you can go for its full version and you will like the application.
