I am so disappointed with the iPhone. How Apple managed to take such a pretty looking device and screw it up so bad is just awful.

The email program is absolutely awful. Checking only 15mins...not being able to select multiple emails for delete...on top of that, having to then go into the Trash folder and AGAIN, delete one by one...no copy and paste...etc.

I don't think i am being picky. These are functions that PDA's have had for YEARS! Its like Apple decided to take a step backwards with the email program.

Additionally, the battery life sucks. Why its not removable is just stupid. Another way for Apple to make more money off us. $80 for a replacement once a year. Forget that!

The keyboard...not even going to get into it. If you have an iPhone, you know my frustrations. In todays world, we email and text in cyber-slang. Almost every email i have written, it has changed the word i meant for it to be, to something completely different.

I haven't been waiting 5 months for this device...i have been waiting over 5 years, since the Newton, for Apple to come back out with a handheld.

Wasted time.

I'm sorry you feel that way.

I, like the majority of us, love my iPhone! I wouldn't trade it for any phone in the world.

He'll be back when iPhone 2.0 comes out. LOL

The keyboard's actually not bad. I can type very quickly now. You just have to learn how to use it. It's actually kind of a rush.

Yyou still have the blackberry, right? Just keep the iPhone until they fix/hack the things you hate about it.

Why does everyone complain about the deletion of multipul emails? You just swipe your finger over it and tap delete and move on. Its a whole ONE finger swipe its not like 40 steps to delete it. Its crazyness what people complain about.

You can set the email to delete itself from the trash after a set time. I agree the 15 minutes to check email is a bit long though. As for the keyboard I can type faster than I ever could on my BB. Most of the small problems are easy software updates, something Apple is known for.

It certainly has its negatives, but I like it a lot more than my pearl. BB email certainly puts this email to shame, but it will be made better in time.

Not sure what your email volume is like, but I get over 100 emails a day, and that is on a slow day. Deleting them after the initial read is fine with me, but then having to go in and delete from the TRASH folder, one by one, is poor planning. You also have to delete from the SENT folder.

A SELECT ALL or MASS DELETE option is kind of a no brainer.

don't get me wrong people, i am an Apple ADDICT. I have ONLY owned Apple/Mac computers since I was a child, never once a PC. I switched a 10 person company that I used to work with over to Mac from PC. I convinced both my brothers, both who were hard-core PC users to switch.

I am just shocked that with all the buzz and hype, that Apple cut corners on such simple things.

So part of the reason your returning it is because you can't "mass delete" e-mail? That is something Apple can fix, and probably will, easily.

I agree, you do need to return your iPhone because for your businesss purposes, it doesn't compare to a blackberry.

Bur for the rest of us who purchased this wonderful phone for surfing the net, listening to music and watching videos, WOOOHOOOO.

Oh yeah, to quote the previous poster, don't let the door hit your vag*** on your way out.

Oh BTW.. you can set the iPhone to delete emails in the Trash that are either:

a. 1 day old
b. 1 week old
c. 1 month old

No need to delete them one by one.. let the iPhone do it for you.

They may be a few flaws that you don't like, but is no reason to return the Phone. Most complaints are software related can and will be fixed. One thing people need to remember is that Apple rushed it. Watch he Keynotes and you noticed the iPhone wasn't ready then (they also showed ringtones in iTunes).

My question is, if you're unhappy with it, dislike it, and are gonna return it, then WTF are you still doing here, wasting our time?
