My thoughts exactly.

I couldn't be happier with my iPhone... and what kills me is that as time goes on and software updates are released many of the missing features could be added. I doubt things will stay static on the iPhone for long.

But anyway, see ya later. Enjoy your Blackberry (I've been there done that and don't miss it).
i agree...don't miss my blackberry, Q, or Treo (except the document editing and MMS)

It's called user error. The reason I say that is because It was stated before hand by many industry reviewers that the phone is not a pda nor is it a blackberry. Had you did any research at all you would have known this. Also this forum is for the iPhone. "Everything iPhone". If you don't like it or is not your cup of tea stop posting. This mess is getting on my nerves. You don't like it because you failed to do research point blank. Stop whining get your blackberry and live life happily in your world.

+1 to waiting for hacks!

except I know how to change the battery myself sort of, why have them take it for a week.

I've had my iPod for years and used it every day over those years and I've had to send it in for battery service exactly zero times. The battery is just as strong and long lasting as it was the day I bought it over 2 years ago.

My iPhone will be replaced by the next generation iPhone long before the battery needs to be replaced. Few people who are interested in cutting edge phones keep them more than 2 years.

The built in battery issue is a moot point.

I am thinking about going back to my Blackberry, the email app looks cool but lacks in functionality. Once you get by the pretty UI and the honeymoon is over, you really have to ask yourself how functional is this thing. I don't know if I want to be at the mercy of Apples software updates!

I'll never understand how people have trouble with the keyboard. I just got my iPhone a day and a half ago and I fly on the keyboard. It's much easier and much quicker. Oh well...
It's quite understandable to me. We are all individuals with various preferences.

So why create a post stating that you cannot understand someone else? What is the point?

Your Fast? Good for you!

its funny because all the "problems" stated in the first post of this thread were known features or lack there of , months before the phone came out. nobody to blame but yourself for thinking you were getting gods gift to pda's when it was never stated it was a pda at all. its a smartphone. its not a businesss solution its a multimeda solution . suck it up. should have done your research before you bought. i love the keyboard on mine , it senses if you type slang more than twice and adjusts its spell check accordingly. thats just ONE issue i will address for you.

i'm right there with you. i'm returning my iPhone. The keyboard is a little annoying, but yes, when you get used to it, you can deal with it. here's what bugs me... after 2 days. i had programs quitting on me, and throwing me back to the main page. No cutting and pasting is a bigger deal than i thought. the text messages look cool, but really not good, because i can't forward a message, and i can't send the same message out to multiple people without having to type it all over again. the email sucks, because i can't put any attachments. so if i wanted to email more than one picture, i have to do it one at a time. another pain. i made one phone call that was about 15 or 20 minutes, and my battery went from full to half. i really wanted to find reasons to keep this phone, but for the price i paid, i don't want a phone that's just "alright". I'll just see what happens when the next version comees out... i'll just be sure that i don't run out and get it the first day.

I am so disappointed with the iPhone. How Apple managed to take such a pretty looking device and screw it up so bad is just awful.

The email program is absolutely awful. Checking only 15mins...not being able to select multiple emails for delete...on top of that, having to then go into the Trash folder and AGAIN, delete one by one...no copy and paste...etc.

I don't think i am being picky. These are functions that PDA's have had for YEARS! Its like Apple decided to take a step backwards with the email program.

Additionally, the battery life sucks. Why its not removable is just stupid. Another way for Apple to make more money off us. $80 for a replacement once a year. Forget that!

The keyboard...not even going to get into it. If you have an iPhone, you know my frustrations. In todays world, we email and text in cyber-slang. Almost every email i have written, it has changed the word i meant for it to be, to something completely different.

I haven't been waiting 5 months for this device...i have been waiting over 5 years, since the Newton, for Apple to come back out with a handheld.

Wasted time.

You are crazy, go get your cheap blackberry back. Its Been 2 weeks, of course there are going to be a few glitches off the launch. The first update will help a few of your problems. Settle down and give it a chance maybe.

NO Bluetooth Headphone support to listen to music
No file download from the internet or save attachement
( I almost returned it just for that)
NO Sync with multiple computer
........

I keep mine it's too cute

You can set the email to delete itself from the trash after a set time. I agree the 15 minutes to check email is a bit long though. As for the keyboard I can type faster than I ever could on my BB. Most of the small problems are easy software updates, something Apple is known for.

It certainly has its negatives, but I like it a lot more than my pearl. BB email certainly puts this email to shame, but it will be made better in time.
I had the pearl for 2 months,,it was just ok, the iPhone is much easier for my fat figners to use , and I can actually see the fricking thing!haha anybody want to buy a fairly new pearl?

Suck it up?

SUCK IT UP!

YOU WILL join in and experience the Apple Reality Distortion Field, where the only reality is what we (APPLE) program you to believe.
You no longer have the right to think for yourself.
You are forbidden from being an individual.
You will defend Apple against, the "outsiders". Enemies, all of them.
Spew your venom!

Feeling challenged using your iPhone? Dislike some of the "Features"?

Suck It Up Bucko!

This IS the New Apple Slogan...:p
