I'm surprised their iPhones aren't gonna be even more expensive than ours....
I thought the mobile phone market was kinda "unregulated" in other countries, and technology moved faster over there, because of no FCC...

I remember for years, seeing all types of badass Nokia phones, NONE of which were available inside the US...

Rumors that Apple is preparing a second-generation iPhone continue to circulate, with Far East manufacturers and an analyst adding their weight to the discussion.

A recent report in the Chinese-langauge Commercial Times claims Taiwan's Wintek has secured the contract to manufacture touch-screens for the device.

As reported by DigiTimes, the new iPhone will ship in September -- at a significantly lower price than current models -- US$249-299 as against the current product price of $499 or $599.

I still say all these rumours are pointing to a wide screen iPod and not iPhone 2.0.

If this is indeed true, I hope that there is a way for us to upgrade to this. Im even willing to pay a fee to do this.
