Make sure you call AT&T and report it lost/stolen. They will turn it off and no one can ever use that phone ( On any phone number ) until YOU call it in found.

I REALLY do feel your pain

Have had cell phones since they were 5 lbs bricks..... never ever even came close to loosing one. A few weeks ago mine disappeared, I lost it but tell myself someone stole it. Called A.T.&T. reported it and have not found it yet. What did I do? went and bought another.... now I have a $1200.00 cell phone.

You still have a $600 phone...and a $600 lesson in keeping a tight hold on your stuff

poor guy. thats gotta be the worst feeling ever! I would rec. that we all insure the phone with your car insurrance agency. $50/yr and no deductible like that one guy posted on here. doesn't hurt and its a smart choice for all of us

Help - I woke up with a hangover and an empty pocket!

I lost my iPhone at UMASS somewhere between southwest and frat row... what is the best way to get it back?

I'll check back later!

Did you try calling it yet?

Have faith in honesty. I lost my wallet and it was turned into the local police station a month later...without a single thing missing.

Apple doesn't have any tracking system in place.

The entire reason why http://ifoundyouriPhone.com exists is to help you with this very problem. You should sign up ASAP. Had you signed up prior to losing it, your wallpaper would have all the information required for the finder to return your iPhone to you. However, you can still register and hope that whoever finds it will go to the website and enter the serial number. Of course, nothing guarantees the finder will return it but its a great idea, the service is FREE, and its only takes a minute to register. Do it!

If you haven't already, call AT&T and report the phone lost/stolen. They should be able to stop your service and tell you when the last call was made. Hopefully nobody is using it.

Call the police and see if it was turned in.

Retrace your steps last night. Check any couch you may have sat on, any car you rode in, and any bar/restaurant you may have been in. If you were on foot, keep an eye on the ground as you go.

AFTER you have retraced your steps, call the phone. Maybe some honest person picked it up. (I say after because if your phone is sitting unfound in a putrid frat couch somewhere, you don't want to alert some less-than-honest person to its presense until after you've exhausted your other options.)

Good luck.
